Police are investigating a burglary in which a cash machine was stolen from a village shop.
Officers were called shortly after 1.30am yesterday, Monday October 7, to Budgens in Stock High Street.
A cash machine was stolen from the front of the shop.
A group of four to five people were reported to have been seen. They left in two vehicles – one described as a red Ford Ranger and the other as a small car – and drove off in the direction of Billericay.
A Ford Ranger was later found burned out in woodlands off Witham Road, Wickham Bishops, shortly before 3.40am.
